We are currently developing the site content so not all the information is currently avaiable. We will endeavour to complete this as soon as possible. Any old or new photos of Caerwent or surrounding areas would be gratefully displayed on the site.

The Caerwent Historic Trust has a large wealth of archive material, which has been collected over many years.

One of the major pieces is the Caerwent Scrapbook, which contains a wealth of information about later day Caerwent. This publication is currently being digitised and reprinted to maintain its condition. When completed this will be available online (charge will apply)

The Trust has decided that it would be interesting to create a modern day version of the Scrapbook, which would contain up to date photos, stories and anecdotes of villagers who remember their lifetimes in the village.

If you have any photos, stories or reminisces of your life in Caerwent or surrounding areas and would be happy to share these with the Trust we would love to hear from you. With your permission we would either record or video and interview with you to record you memories.

Did you go to Caerwent School, Do you remember the village pre WW2. Do you have any old photos you could share with the Trust?

Any stories or anecdotes would be of interest so please get in touch

Please contact either Rob Jones (Chairman) or Kevin Evans (Secretary) at the following email address.

Thank You

World War 1 Commemoration Page

As part of the World War 1 Rememberance process the Historic Trust have decided to set up a timeline of the fallen for the period 1914-1918.

The timeline will post on or near to the date of a particular loss with brief details of the fallen.

The information will build up over the next 3 years to show all those from the Caerwent area who gallantly gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Please vist our Commemoration page

This information was originally colated by the late John Nettleship and Gareth Jones.

More recently it was used in the Commemoration Service at Caerwent Church on 9th November 2014.
